SMART Disk Monitor is an excellent tool that allows automatic drive monitoring and report generation to prevent against failures. Besides monitoring your computer, you can monitor other computers connected to your network. In order to do this, the application uses a Microsoft technology known as WMI to access SMART status and access permission on the networked computers (remote computers could require remote administration permission). You can be alerted about disk failures, unreachable disk and directory utilization, file extension break down, and more. The program includes a configuration wizard that guides you step by step through the process of scheduling disks, configuring warnings for space on disks, and alerts. One important feature is that the program can send you alerts via email. The price described is for the SMART Disk Monitor - Desktop - Monitor 20 Disks. OS supported: Windows 2000, 2003, XP, Vista, or Server 2008. System requirements: 512 MB RAM and 2 GB suggested for large networks.
